This change will introduce a full new certificate chain including the root certificate. The server certificates will be issued by the DigiCert Intermediate CA “DigiCert SHA2 Secure Server CA” and the global CA root certificate “DigiCert Global Root CA”.

    Maintenance Duration: 20 minutes

    Type of Disruption: Other

Disruption Description: If you use SSL certificate validation on the client side and have stored the certificate or root certificate in a custom trust store, you will notice a SSL certificate validation failure.

If you are impacted, it is recommended that you download the DigiCert root authority certificates.

Although it is not recommended, if you chose to store the server certificates in a custom trust store, you can request the IBM Cloud Functions server certificates through an IBM Cloud Support ticket prior the change window. However, server certificates are subject to expiration and change.

    Disruption Duration: 1 minute
